This year was epic for autumn foliage in the Tetons. Although there was a terrible fire season in late summer, the rains began to fall when the leaves began to turn. The timing was perfect to produce great color, with more orange and even red than normally is present. The usual aspen gold is always pretty, but was especially so with the additional colors mixed in. Here’s a shot from near Cattleman’s which reminded me of a rainbow of autumn color.
As usual, Schwabacher Landing and Oxbow Bend were spectacular scenes with rich color.
Pretty much everywhere through Teton Valley had beautiful views, such as this spot along Hwy 191 near Elk Ranch Flats.
